§ Mr. MellorEarlier this year my right hon. and learned Friend made available additional resources to enable some 600 new after-care hostel places to be funded by the end of 1984–85. He also put in hand a review of the voluntary after-care accommodation scheme, with a view to assessing need and effectiveness more accurately, and to achieving economies and greater efficiency. The review should be completed early next year, and he will then consider the future of the scheme.
