§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give a breakdown of the number of occasions on which cautions were given in each of the last five years to (a) all offenders, (b) offenders aged over 25 years, (c) offenders aged 20 to 25 years, (d) offenders aged 18 to 20 years and (e) offenders under 18 years.
§ Mr. ScottThe Royal Ulster Constabulary does not keep a detailed breakdown of statistics in the form requested. However, the number of juveniles—persons under 17 years of age—and adults—persons of 17 and over — who have received cautions for indictable offences in each of the last five years is set out in the table:
