Mr. Hirst

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list details of sales of council housing to sitting tenants up to the latest convenient date, by district within regional sub-totals; and if he will indicate the percentage of the relevant housing stock sold.

The details requested on sales of council housing by local authorities new towns and the Scottish Special Housing Association are set out in the following table. The information given covers the period from 1 April 1979 to 30 September 1984.
