asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will refer to the Monopolies and Mergers Commission the proposed merger or takeover of Johnson's Cleaners by Nottingham Manufacturing.

My right hon. Friend announced on 15 November his decision not to refer this merger to the Monopolies and Mergers Commission.
