§ 17. Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what benefits he anticipates will accrue to local authorities as a result of recent revisions of the European regional development fund to take effect from January 1985.
§ Mr. Norman LamontThe main benefits will be an increase in the percentage contributions from the ERDF to qualifying local authority projects. In the longer term, we hope for some reduction in administrative burdens arising from the new provisions permitting support for national programmes instead of many individual projects.
