HC Deb 20 November 1984 vol 68 c102W
Mr. Heathcoat-Amory

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the estimated cost to public funds of work done in 1984–85 under the dairy produce quota regulations.

Dr. Boyson

It is estimated that in 1984.85 £220,000 will be required to meet the fees and expenses of members of the Northern Ireland dairy produce quota tribunal and panels and £150,000 to recoup the Milk Marketing Board for Northern Ireland for work done on behalf of the Department of Agriculture. This expenditure will be sought through an Autumn Supplementary Estimate and pending parliamentary approval payments are being met by way of repayable advances from the Northern Ireland Civil Contingencies Fund.
