§ Mr. FletcherEnforcement of the Trade Descriptions Act 1972 and the Trade Descriptions (Origin Marking) (Miscellaneous Goods) Order 1981 is a matter for local authority trading standards departments. I have no plans56W to revise our origin marking requirements pending the European Court's ruling on the 1981 order in the case now before it.
