§ Mr. Fatchettasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will take steps to ensure that the job promotion initiatives fostered by the metropolitan counties from local and European Economic Community resources will continue; and what mechanism will be available should the West Yorkshire county council be abolished to ensure that these initiatives continue in the Yorkshire coalfield and textile areas.
