§ The Prime MinisterInformation relating to the involvement of Service personnel in industrial disputes since 1977–78 is contained in table 7.3 of volume 2 of the statements on the defence estimates from 1980 to 1984.
Comprehensive information on involement in disputes prior to 1977 is not immediately available and cannot be produced without considerable and disproportionate cost and effort. Records show, however, that Service personnel were involved in the following disputes at least:—
