§ Mr. Terlezkiasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether, in view of the extent of illegal importation of drugs, he will seek powers to subject yachts that enter the United Kingdom to compulsory customs control.
§ Mr. HayhoeYachts are already subject to compulsory customs control on entering the United Kingdom under the Pleasure Craft (Arrival and Report) Regulations 1979, Statutory Instrument 1979 No 564, made under Section 35(4), 42(1) and 81(2) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979.
