HC Deb 16 November 1984 vol 67 cc370-2W
Mr. Gordon Brown

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list, by postal code district, the latest unemployment figures within the Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy travel-to-work areas; and if he will show for each postal code district the change in unemployment over the preceding 12-month period.

Mr. Allan Stewart

Information by post-code sector is not available for the recently redefined travel-to-work areas of Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. The following table shows the number of unemployed claimants by post-code sector for each of the jobcentre areas which formerly comprised the travel-to-work areas of Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy at 11 October 1984, the latest date for which information is available, and the change they represent compared with the figures at the corresponding date last year.
