Mr. Deakins

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will place in the Library a copy of the latest European Economic Community text based on the principles of budget discipline agreed by the European Council.

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my hon. Friend the Economic Secretary to the Treasury on 15 November at column 350, to my hon. Friend the Member for Lewisham, West (Mr. Maples). A copy of the text of the Council's common position on budgetary discipline has now been placed in the Library of the House.
