§ Mr. Merlyn Reesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps he proposes to take to report to Parliament on the proceedings and conclusions of the committee of inquiry into aspects of the external services of the BBC.
§ Mr. RentonThe report of the team appointed to review the BBC external services was submitted simultaneously to my right hon. and learned Friend and to the chairman of the BBC's board of governors, at whose invitation the review was made, on 9 November. They are considering action on it.
