§ Sir William van StraubenzeeThe Second Church Estates Commissioner answers parliamentary questions upon all functions of the Church Commissioners. The Commissioners are required to direct the income from the assets entrusted to them primarily towards the support of the pay, pensions and housing of the stipendiary ministry of the Church of England. They have also other statutory responsibilities, notably in the sphere of pastoral reorganisation.
