HC Deb 15 November 1984 vol 67 cc349-50W
Mr. Dubs

asked the Lord Privy Seal if he will list the occasions during the last 12 months when the Harcourt Room was not available at meal times for hon. Members; and what was the nature of the functions which were held instead.

Mr. Biffen

Under the general regulations regarding the booking of dining rooms, the Harcourt Room may be reserved by Members for private entertaining on Mondays and Fridays at lunchtime, provided alternative accommodation is available for Members. During the last 12 months, the Harcourt Room has been reserved in this way on 30 occasions. It is not the Refreshment Department's practice to make public information which may be available to it on the nature of functions sponsored by hon. Members.
