HC Deb 15 November 1984 vol 67 c309W
Mr. Ashley

asked the Solicitor-General for Scotland what advice was given by the Scottish Crown lawyers to Dr. Clift in the appeal in the case of John Preece about the style of the forensic report for the Scottish court and, in particular, about reference to the blood group of the murdered woman.

The Solicitor-General for Scotland

Dr. Clift was given a report prepared in connection with another case to use as a style. No advice was given to him as to how he should deal in his report with the blood group of the murdered woman.
