§ Mr. ButlerThere are 880 Greek Cypriots and 337 Turkish Cypriots currently employed at the eastern sovereign base area, Dekhelia. Apart from a small number who live in the United Nations buffer zone, all the Turkish Cypriots reside in the so-called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus—with the exception of three who are resident in the base itself—and all the Greek Cypriots reside either in the Republic of Cyprus south of the buffer zone or in the base.
