HC Deb 14 November 1984 vol 67 c294W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if health authorities work to any guidelines in accepting or rejecting kidney patients for dialysis or transplant on the grounds of such social criteria as perceived employability, age or parental status.

Mr. John Patten

Whether or not to accept a patient for a particular form of treatment is entirely a matter for the doctor concerned in the light of whatever factors he considers relevant.
