§ Mr. WaddingtonThe information requested on husbands and male fiancés is pubished quarterly in the Home Office statistical bulletin "Control of Immigration: Statistics"—footnote 2 of table 10 of issue 19/84 for the second quarter of 1984. At the end of June 1984, 3,400 wives—including those whose husbands are not British citizens — were awaiting their first interview; female financées do not need to obtain entry clearance.
