HC Deb 14 November 1984 vol 67 c287W
Mr. Simon Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what changes concerning planning controls on agricultural buildings and farm roads Her Majesty's Government intend to propose or make in the current revision of the general development order.

Mr. Macfarlane

I am considering the wide-ranging responses to our consultation paper on a number of possible changes to the General Development Order. Since issuing that consultation paper a report by the Countryside Commission on the future of the uplands has called for tighter planning controls over farm roads, and so on in upland areas. The recommendations in that report are also under consideration.
