asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many general practitioners in (a) the Yorkshire regional health authority and (b) Leeds metropolitan district council area are over the age of 65 years on the latest available figures.

At 1 October 1983 there were 102 unrestricted general medical practitioners aged 65 years or over practising in the Yorkshire region and 51 such doctors practising in the area of the Leeds city council.
