asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many registered disabled people are jobless in Wales; and how many have been jobless for more than 12 months.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

Information on the number of registered disabled people who are unemployed is available only for those who choose to register for employment at jobcentres and careers offices. In September 1984 there were 2,566 registered disabled and 4,851 unregistered disabled job seekers unemployed. Detailed information in respect of the length of time these registrants have been unemployed is not available.
