HC Deb 13 November 1984 vol 67 c224W
35. Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many land-based cruise missiles have been deployed in the United Kingdom; what further deployments are planned; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Stanley

The then Secretary of State for Defence announced on 17 June 1980 that six flights of ground-launched cruise missiles would be based at RAF Greenham common and four at RAF Molesworth. These plans have not changed. As I explained in answer to the hon. Member for Denton and Reddish (Mr. Bennett) on 26 June, information on the deployment of nuclear forces, including ground-launched cruise missiles, will be provided in the annual "Statement on the Defence Estimates".
