HC Deb 12 November 1984 vol 67 c77W
86. Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what are the priorities which determine the Government's aid to north African states.

Mr. Raison

In deciding its allocation of aid the Government gives priority to developmental criteria. They also take account of any relevant commercial and political factors. Aid levels to north African states have been set with these points in mind.
