§ Mr. Wyn RobertsWe assume that the hon. Gentleman is concerned with central Government grants and subsidies to local authorities. These fell by £92 million between 1979–80 and 1983–84 (at 1983–84 prices). A separate comparison for county and district authorities is not possible because of the introduction of block grant in 1981–82.
