HC Deb 12 November 1984 vol 67 c124W
Mr. Freeman

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many claims have been lodged under the terms of the Foreign Compensation (Czechoslovakia) Order 1982; and how many have so far been dealt with by the Foreign Compensation Commission, indicating what proportions have been accepted and rejected.

Mr. Renton

A total of 2,184 claims have been lodged with the Foreign Compensation Commission. The commission has so far dealt with 236 of these claims. Eighty-one claims for awards of compensation have been accepted and provisionally assessed. Seventy-five claims have been dismissed either summarily or provisionally. In 80 cases the claimants have withdrawn their claims.
