HC Deb 25 May 1984 vol 60 c609W
Sir John Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on Anglo-South African relations.

Sir Geoffrey Howe

We continue to attach importance to our relations with South Africa as with other African countries. We think it important to discuss developments in the region with all those involved. The South African Prime Minister's visit next month will also provide an opportunity for a frank exchange of views about the problems of the area.
