HC Deb 25 May 1984 vol 60 c587W
Mr. Corrie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will estimate on the latest available information (a) the volume of milk currently produced in Scotland and (b) the volume which would be permitted under the new quota proposals of the European Economic Community.

Mr. Younger

For the 12 months prior to April 1984, milk production in Scotland is estimated at 1,440 million litres. Under the new arrangements, Scotland's allocation from the United Kingdom quota in 1984–85 will be 1,352 million litres.
