Member for Leyton on 15 May about road-widening plans at Greenham common air base, whether he will list the residents consulted; and why arrangements were not made for the residents of Greenham peace camp to be notified and consulted about the plans.
§ Mr. RidleyThe local consultations which were held were not about the plans for either the works or the traffic regulations order. They were to discuss temporary access arrangements with those householders affected by the works.
Notice of the Secretary of State's intention to make the traffic regulation order was published in the local newspaper on 15 March 1984 and subsequently also posted on site.
