§ Mr. Gregoryasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what the current standing charges are in respect of water for all types of users in each water authority in Northern Ireland; and if he knows of any plans to increase these.
§ Mr. Chris PattenThe Department of Environment for Northern Ireland is the sole water authority. Domestic consumers do not pay separately for water; a contribution from ratepayers in respect of expenditure on the water service is collected through the regional rate.
