§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) if he will make a statement on his proposals in his consultation paper for a voluntary joint committee of the borough councils to manage London-wide traffic issues;
(2) what provisions there will be for the collection and distribution of on and off-street parking data for use in transport planning as well as for parking policy purposes if the Greater London council is abolished.
§ Mr. RidleyWe are consulting boroughs over detailed aspects of the reallocation of transport responsibilities, including traffic issues and data collection. When I have concluded my consideration of these matters, I shall inform the House.
