§ Mr. Willie W. Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the salary increases for each nursing grade in the National Health Service for each of the last four years, indicating those increases in percentage terms.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe table shows, for the main nursing pay grades, the percentage increases in basic pay at the maximum of the salary scales for the years 1979 to 1983. Over this period (April 1979—March 1984) the retail price index increased by 61 per cent.
