HC Deb 24 May 1984 vol 60 c508W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is seeking information as to how many tenants in Greater Manchester are awaiting decisions on the designation of their homes as hard to heat; and if he will now make a further statement.

Dr. Boyson

No. This information is not relevant to the decision on whether to designate a given estate as disproportionately expensive to heat for the purposes of estate rate heating additions. A total of 11 files relating to estates in the Greater Manchester area that might be so designated is currently under consideration centrally.
