My right hon. Friend has asked officials to review the operation of section 152(4) of the Social Security Act in the light of the proposals made in the recent Government White Paper on Insolvency Law Reform (Cmnd. 9175) taking account also of arguments for repeal put forward by the Institute of Directors. My right hon. Friend will consider any further action necessary once this review has been completed.
