§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeOn 1 May 1984 there were 18 female medical officers—all full-time—engaged in our Department in assessment of entitlement to benefits. This was 14.75 per cent. of all medical staff engaged on this work. The number of medical practitioners engaged on a sessional basis to undertake this work varies daily and information about their sex is not available centrally.
