§ Mrs. Rumboldasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will make a statement on the changes of criteria for the allocation of money under the urban programme.
§ Sir George YoungUrban programme grant is allocated to local authorities in recognition of the special social need which exists in their areas, and according to guidelines set by Ministers, which remain unchanged. Resources will continue to be concentrated in the areas of greatest need, and this has been reflected more fully in allocations made under Traditional Urban Programme Circular 24.
