asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will publish the overall average non-domestic rate poundage charged by each non-metropolitan district in 1982–83, 1983–84 and 1984–85, showing the total of county precepts and district rates for each tier.

No payments in respect of money wrongly deducted from supplementary benefits on grounds of voluntary unemployment have been made by the Department's Pontefract — which deals with the Knottingley area—and Castleford local offices to former claimants following the advertising campaign in March. The number of unsuccessful inquiries made is not recorded. Ten and 55 payments respectively resulted from the check of current files by Pontefract and Castleford local offices. Castleford office made two payments to former claimants following the earlier publicity.
