HC Deb 17 May 1984 vol 60 c216W
Mr. Bruce

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what discussions have taken place between civil air traffic control and military authorities on exchanging information on military air traffic movements on helicopter routes to and from North Sea rigs and platforms.

Mr. Lee

The National Air Traffic Service (NATS), which has responsibility for the safety and efficiency of air traffic management in United Kingdom air space, is a joint Civil Aviation Authority/Ministry of Defence organisation. There is thus continual dialogue between civil ATC and military authorities.
