§ Mrs. Ann Wintertonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) what recent cases have been brought to his attention of animals suffering as a result of being given unsuitable foodstuffs because ingredients were not known by the farmer concerned;
(2) what representations he has received recently concerning the compulsory labelling of the ingredients of animal foodstuffs;
(3) whether he has any plans to introduce measures to make the labelling of animal foodstuffs with their ingredients compulsory.
§ Mrs. FennerWe have no plans at present to make full ingredient listing a compulsory requirement of the statutory statement on feeding stuffs. I have received no recent representations on this matter, nor am I aware of any complaints from farmers.
