asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the present capacity and placings at skillcentres in Scotland.

[pursuant to his reply, 14 May 1984, c. 44]: The capacity in terms of number of places available can vary. It depends mainly on the level of business which skillcentres are able to attract from new and existing customers; the Skillcentre Training Agency is actively marketing its services.

The following table gives the number of places currently available, together with the number of people in training at each skillcentre in Scotland at 30 April 1984.
