§ Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, pursuant to his reply of 26 April, Official Report, column 580, when equal opportunities officers were designated within his Department; by whom such designation was made; and what the grades and the duties of such officers are.
§ Mr. YoungerOne equal opportunities officer was designated within my Department in January 1984 by the 45W principal establishment officer. The officer concerned is a principal whose role in this area is to ensure that present policy is implemented in accordance with national and departmental agreements and to advise managers on policy procedures.
