HC Deb 14 May 1984 vol 60 cc42-3W
Mr. Foulkes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when, and how, all the Scottish evidence, statistics and information available to the inquiry into links between radioactive leaks at Sellafield and the incidence of leukaemia will be published.

Mr. John MacKay

This depends on when the Black committee completes its report and on the prominence this gives to the Scottish evidence. We intend that a resumé of the Scottish evidence shall be made public in due course.

Mr. Foulkes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what inquiries his Department has had from the public or press seeking information, statistics or evidence in relation to Scotland made available to the Sellafield inquiry; and what has been the response.

Mr. John MacKay

There has been only one such inquiry and the response was that a resumé of the Scottish evidence to the Black committee will be made public in due course.
