§ Mr. Robert B. Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will publish the terms of reference for the study of a second Severn crossing and state when he expects to appoint the consultants.
§ Mr. RidleyCopies of the terms of reference for the study have been placed in the Library.
I now invite suitably qualified consultants to submit applications. From these a short list of firms will be selected and asked to furnish statements describing how they would approach the study and approximately what it would cost. They will also be interviewed. I hope to make an appointment early in July.
