§ Mr. Corbynasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether facilities offered by the police national computer or the Metropolitan 'C' department computer are extended to the police force of the Atomic Energy Authority.
§ Mr. HurdNo. Information held on the Police National Computer and other police record systems May, however, be disclosed to the Atomic Energy Authority Constabulary in accordance with guidelines set out in Appendix 48B to the Home Office consolidated circular to the police on crime and kindred matters, a copy of which is in the Library of the House.
§ Mr. Corbynasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) what are(a) the current peak inquiries per hour to the police national computer indexes and (b) the theoretical numbers of inquiries that the police national computer can handle within the response time found in the detailed operational requirement; and whether he will place a copy of the detailed operational requirement in the Library;
(2) what is (a) the size and number of disc storage modules attached to the police national computer, and (b) the size and number of core storage modules attached to the police national computer; and if he will give details of any plans to upgrade or replace these modules or the central processor.
