Mr. Wilson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the gross domestic product, at current market prices, per capita, expressed in terms of United States dollars, for each of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development countries in 1983 or in the latest available year.

The latest estimates covering all OECD countries, relate to 1982 and are given on page 86, table 21 of "OECD National Accounts Volume 1 Main Aggregates 1953–1982". A copy is available in the library. For some countries, provisional figures are available for 1983 and these are as follows.
