In the week 2 to 8 May inclusive, a maximum of some 4,500 officers on any one day was provided by chief officers to other forces having to conduct major operations related to the dispute. In addition, large numbers of officers continued to be deployed locally. All police forces in430W England and Wales have been involved in the policing of events related to the dispute, either locally or in the provision of aid to other forces.
