HC Deb 09 May 1984 vol 59 c410W
Mr.Donald Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what areas in Scotland are designated, for Royal Air Force training purposes, as low-flying areas; and which areas are designated ultra-low flying areas.

Mr.Stanley

All areas of Scotland may be used for low-flying training, subject to the normal restrictions. Special tactical training, including some flying below the normal height limits, is carried out over the most sparsely populated areas of the United Kingdom, including, in Scotland, parts of the north-west and the borders areas.
