§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Attorney-General if he will ensure that no prosecution takes place in Wales arising out of delays caused by the police being unable or unwilling to make available existing Welsh language forms, or insisting that English language forms be used although Welsh language versions are available.

The decision to prosecute or to continue proceedings is in general a matter for the relevant chief officer of police. If the hon. Member has a particular case in mind and would care to let me have the details, I will make inquiries.
