HC Deb 08 May 1984 vol 59 c318W
Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State's recent visit to Liverpool.

Mr. David Mitchell

I paid a short visit to the port of Liverpool on 3 May. It was the first time I had been in my capacity as a Transport Minister. I was impressed both by its facilities and by the enthusiasm of those of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company's management and employees whom I met.
