§ Mr. Gareth Wardellasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will include some war widows among the group of D-day veterans who will visit Normandy on 6 June at public expense.
§ Mr. StanleyI regret that this will not be possible. This visit has been organised for those who took part in the D-day operation, and the number of applications by D-day veterans has already greatly exceeded the number of places available.
